Inside Techboogie’s experience working alongside NFL Films on Super Bowl LX.
There are projects that build your portfolio, and then there are projects that change how you see your work entirely.
Super Bowl LX was the latter.
Earlier this year, Techboogie was brought on by Creative West to join the NFL Films production team as part of the official timelapse crew for Super Bowl LX in the Bay Area. Our role was to capture the full buildout of the stadium — and the energy of game day — in an artful and inspiring light
Four days. Sunrise to sunset. Six to eight cameras running simultaneously. A small but focused team of three managing it all.
And one of the most humbling experiences of our career.
A Bay Area Studio on the Biggest Stage in Sports
This wasn’t our first time working for the Super Bowl. About a decade ago, Techboogie contributed to storytelling around Super Bowl 50, focusing on the host committee and community partnerships across the Bay Area.
But this time was different, we were inside the machine.
We were embedded alongside NFL Films: one of the most respected production teams in the world. Being trusted to contribute, even in a specific lane like timelapse, was something we don’t take lightly.
What made it even more meaningful was the NFL’s intentional investment in local Bay Area talent. From vendors to crew, the production reflected the people who actually live and work here — and that authenticity showed up in every frame.
14 Years in the Making: The Power of Relationships

This opportunity didn’t come from a pitch deck or a cold email. It came from a relationship that started over 14 years ago.
Creative West, the team that brought us onto this project, has been a mentor and collaborator since the early days of our journey. The trust built over years of showing up, doing the work, and staying consistent is what opened the door to this stage.
That’s the real story here:
- Relationships built early can shape your entire career
- Consistency matters more than any single project
- The people you grow with often become your biggest champions
At Techboogie, we’ve learned that our most valuable asset isn’t our gear — it’s the people we’ve built with along the way.
The Timelapse Work: Small Team, Big Vision

Timelapse work requires a different mindset. You’re planning moments in advance rather than chasing them.
Our approach combined motion control systems with multi-camera setups and moving gimbal hyperlapse videography to create movement within each shot, elevating the footage beyond traditional static timelapse. The goal was to make the buildout of the stadium feel like the event it truly was — a massive, coordinated, awe-inspiring production happening in real time.
What the production looked like:
- 4 consecutive shoot days
- Sunrise-to-sunset coverage
- 6–8 cameras running simultaneously
- Interior + exterior stadium coverage
- A lean team of 3 managing all systems
From early scaffolding set-up to a fully activated stadium packed with fans on game day, we documented the entire transformation with every angle we could access.
At this level, there’s no room for hesitation and preparation is everything — but so is adaptability. Being presented with constant challenges required our team to think on our feet to deliver the highest in quality to the NFL team. 15 years of practice doing this sort of work prepared us for this monumental job and we relished in every moment of it.
Challenges & What it Took to Deliver

Even at the highest level, production comes with challenges.
- Scale & complexity: Coordinating multiple cameras across a massive venue
- Time constraints: Limited windows to capture key buildout moments
- Environmental shifts: Light, weather, and movement constantly changing
- Crowd Management: Transporting and operating complex gear in heavily populated areas
How we approached it:
- Stayed nimble with a small, focused crew
- Heavy time in preparation while remaining flexible in execution
- Strong communication between teammates via on-site comms
This is where experience shows up — not just in what you capture, but how you adapt.
A Lesson in Leadership & Team Culture

One of the biggest takeaways from this experience had nothing to do with cameras.
Working alongside the NFL Films team, it became clear that the quality of any production is deeply tied to the energy of the team behind it. At this scale — under pressure, on one of the world’s biggest stages — that the truth was impossible to ignore.
The environment on set was:
- Calm
- Focused
- Respectful
- Collaborative
The NFL Films crew operated with a level of intention that stood out immediately. They trusted each person to bring their expertise, created space for people to do their best work, and treated everyone on set with genuine respect. There was no ego, no chaos, no hierarchy-driven tension — just professionals working together at an incredibly high level.
That approach left a lasting impression. It reinforced a simple but powerful principle: when teams are supported, trusted, and treated with care, the quality of the work rises with them.
It’s a standard Techboogie carries forward into every production — creating environments where people can thrive, collaborate, and ultimately produce their best work.
